Description

$100 deposit. This will be given back to you when you leave if everything goes well. (You show up on time to shifts, give appropriate leave notice, perform the expected duties and work assigned, do not damage hostel, staff or guest property, etc)

The Experience

Hello! We are looking for friendly and fun volunteers for housekeeping and reception shifts. If you're an international traveler temporarily in San Diego for 1-3 months and have a plan to continue your onward overseas travel, we would be very happy to meet you. If you are just staying for a month you will most likely be asked to do housekeeping duties. Longer stays may be trained on reception. Come help us!

The hostel has been a fantastic experience! I was looking for people different than where I was on the east coast and that's exactly what I found - Mexicans, Brazilians, French, Japanese... I used Spanish a lot. Stephan and co. made me feel at home with clear expectations and fun events. There was lots of darts and delicious taco Tuesdays. This was my first time in California. The weather was quite beautiful; the famous palm trees were illuminated by the bright sun during the day and the sun setting at night, faded magenta, orange, peach. Check out the sunset cliffs at Ocean Beach!

The hostel is perfectly located in the heart & center of San Diego. I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very kind and helpful. The host Stephane was a great host with good vibes and was very helpful. He was very kind and I learned a few things from him, He's a cool dude. The hostel itself is creatively inspiring and cozy! Would definitely enjoy being at this hostel again!

The hostel feels like a big family where everyone helps each other, and you're never alone. The manager, Stephan, and the front desk staff are supportive and experienced in welcoming guests from around the world. I worked as a housekeeper, handling room tidying, bed making, laundry, and common areas. The flexible schedule allows plenty of time to explore SD. Meeting international travelers was perfect for improving my English skills. The hostel is centrally located, close to public transport. I highly recommend the hostel Ds whether it's your first volunteer experience or you're a seasoned volunteer

I stayed at the hostel for nearly a month and had a fantastic time! I made new friends and enjoyed pool outings,beach trips, and festivals with other volunteers. The hostel is ideally located downtown, near stores and public transport. I worked just four days a week with straightforward tasks. A big thanks to Stephan and David (from the office) for their friendliness and for making me feel welcome from day one. Although the building is old and needs some maintenance, it didn't significantly affect my experience. I highly recommend volunteering here and exploring San Diego! 🏖️🌍

It was incredible, I was making a lot of friends there, I was able to practice other languages, was amazing, the whole team was amazing, good vibes, so funny, now I want to still traveling. Very flexible with schedules, they always make sure you are comfortable and feel happy during your stay
