The Experience

Hello, we are a couple with 3 children, our 2 older ones have left the house, so we are more often 3. We recently moved into this 195m2 house with 6.7ha of land including 2ha of woods, so there is a lot to do... Maintaining the exterior, mowing, pruning, gardening, picking, cutting wood, DIY miscellaneous and development work. We would like to have an english native speaker to improve our English and that of our 11 year old son.

From the moment I was picked up from the station I was welcomed and made to feel like part of their family. Roselyne's hospitality is like nothing else and you learn to appreciate a balanced lifestyle without convenience or over consumption. Working with either Guillaume or Roselyne is great as they are both funny and friendly. They trust you to do your work when you are alone but there is no sense of pressure from them. I have learnt lots about French culture which I miss already. Hanging out with their son was always fun and I was lucky to get to meet their daughter when I was in Toulouse.

I am so glad my first Worldpackers experience was with the Fredos. Guillaume and Roselyne are amazing hosts who treated me like family, included me in outings and get togethers, and taught me so much about French culture and sustainability. The food prepared by Roselyne is truly delicious, the work hours are as agreed, and the room offered is very cozy and private. Forever grateful for my magical experience in the home and hoping to visit again soon

If you're looking for a calm and beautiful place and have the opportunity to stay with Roselyne and her loving family, do not miss this chance! Learn about french culture, agriculture and language while enjoying tasty family dinners with interesting conversations over the dinnertable. They have a son who's very nice and creative and fun to get to know. The house is surrounded by beautiful french countryside with its lovely hills and from some parts of the area you can see mountaintops of the pyrinees on a clear day. I will miss my “french family” so much and truly hope to come back someday!

Roselyne and her family are very welcoming, attentive and lovely. We had the chance to share our time with Roselyn parent's and it added a lot to our volunteering. The place is beautiful, peaceful so it's nice to work outside and connect with all the nature surrounding. We learnt so much about French culture and our hosts were sharing all they could with us about food and culture in general. Very happy and thankful we spent our firsts weeks in France with the Fredo's family. Highly recommended.

Les Fredos family is very welcoming and charming, I am lucky to had the opportunity to live with them and experienced the real campagne française life.
