The Experience

This hostel is the project of Manish from Chitwan, who moved to Kathmandu to open a hostel, event space and cafe that focuses on bringing locals and travelers together. which we had to close during lockdown. This hostel was one of a kind in Kathmandu and we trying really hard to make it happrn again in chitwan in more artistic, cool and cozy- way but it's gonna take a lot of work, that's why we need your help! Manish has an amazing vision.

During my two weeks volunteering in Manish's Hostel. I got to experience many cultural exchanges like the Chhat Festival where I was invited to celebrate with Manish's family and children. I was also introduced to many good Nepali dishes by Manish's wife who is a great cook! In addition, I learned new skills for developing and designing the hostel website as well as working with Manish and Nitsha in their eco-printing workshop. Overall, I recommend to stay in Manish's place if you're interested in volunteering your time and learning new skills while engaging with the local culture at once!

I felt taken care of and had a pleasant time. the food was amazing!!! the enviroment inspired me to connect with my creativity, manish is a man that is flowing with ideas. so if you look for a place where you can relax, create and experience a realistic nepalese household, this is the place 🤗

I would definitely recommend staying with Manish and his family. He has an amazing idea for the hostel and we really hope he can get more help from volunteers to get it ready to open! The tasks are easy and you can really manage your own time, the city is nice and you can go for walks around. Loved this experience!
