The Experience

We have an old house that needs a lot of work, there are many wooden planks and some boards that need to be changed and painted, we need help in the garden, preparing bamboo for the new ceiling, help in projects, painting walls, cleaning the house and cabins, preparing cabins for new guests, if you know how to use a sawing machine we will need to fix some sheets, in general we are making this old house a nice place to stay !

My stay at the hostel was great. I loved to talk to Caleb, Luis and John. They were very helpful, respectful and open. The tasks were very diverse and interesting (from sanding bamboo, to sewing mosquito-nets to painting the kitchenwall). I was able to adjust my working hours to the weather, thanks to their spontaneity. I can totally recommend volunteering at this place.

Such a good experience for my first Worldpackers volunteering! Caleb and Luis were very kind and I really enjoyed all the tasks I was given. The nature in Cahuita is really beautiful and this was a perfect place to relax after over a month of hectic travelling.

I loved the experience! You really get to immerse in Costa Rica Nature and culture, the place is beautiful in every sense you're gonna learn a lot about many things, Caleb and Luis are lovely hosts. U should keep in mind Costa Rica it's very expensive and the hosts are not providing any food, but there's a lot of things to do and many places to go! enjoyed every second!

Me and my friend spend one month in the hostel with Caleb and Luis and we had an amazing time! We talked with them, they showed us secret spots in Cahuita and we also met a lot of locals that became friends for life! You can see monkeys and sloth in the backyard that has an amazing view on the ocean. We loved our experience and the work we did especially the ceramic table. We would recommend 100% this worldpacker!

My best friend and me stayed for a month at the hostel and we had an amazing experience! Luis and Caleb are very nice people and they showed us the way they live and places to visit. This town is very welcoming and there are a lot of activities to do after work! This World Packer was our first and we really enjoyed our stay, meeting international travellers that stayed in the hostel and leaning about the Caribbean and Costaricain culture. Leaving our mark on the hostel is really an exceptional experience, from creating art to meeting people! We really hope to come back one day:)
