The Experience

Volunteers as English teachers play a vital role in promoting sustainability by empowering communities with language skills. Their tasks include teaching English, creating educational materials, and integrating environmental themes. Volunteering here has been an amazing experience. From the very beginning, the team was supportive and made sure I had everything I needed. My main role was working with children to help them to improve their English, and the entire process was well-organised and rewarding. The staff at the academy are incredibly friendly, welcoming and fun to be around. They create a positive and supportive environment, making it easy to feel at home. This experience was the perfect opportunity to slow down, take a break from travelling, and enjoy a more relaxed routine. I highly recommend this volunteering

Frank and Hazel were very supportive during my stay. I had many unexpected problems arise and they were always there to help. We will be keeping in touch and will remain friends in future

Hazel and the hostel staff were so lovely and made me feel very welcome! Accommodation was perfect and food was amazing. However this position was advertised as a 'party promoter' and 'social media content creator' position. When I turned up I quickly realised I was alone in the hostel, there were rarely other guests and the hostel was a hour walk out of the town so it was quite isolating. The work I completed was fair and enjoyable however it just wasn't what was advertised on the listing.
