The Experience

Lago Bay is expanding. We need help with our marketing campaigns. A volunteer can review our current and past efforts (IG, FB, YT, website, airstrip) in order to reflect on if the style is something that they are able to contribute to in a meaningful way. The applicant should be self driven and able to work comfortably in a remote-peaceful atmosphere. Interests in travel, nature, aviation, aquaculture and hospitality are all pluses.

Volunteering at the guest house was a great experience for me. I was surrounded by beautiful nature and had a nice small house that I shared with another worker. We started the day at 7:00 and had 5-hour work days. Even though it rained a lot when I was there, I had the best time. It gave me time to take some time for myself, enjoy nature and improve my skills. I helped Brett with social media, adds and content. Next to the work we had time to enjoy and for example go snorkeling at Coiba Island, have a nice wine in the evening and so. I loved it!

Volunteering at the guest house was a great experience to practice Spanish with my fellow workers and Brett and his wife, and I learned more about maintenance, gardening, and some marketing. The work was fair but sometimes physically demanding. I also enjoyed the quietness of the nature on the property and our deep conversations with Brett about life. Exploring Santa Catalina was also pretty fun, especially if you're into snorkeling or diving.

Me siento profundamente agradecida de la experiencia en la casa, Brett e Itzaris son personas muy acogedoras y amables, gracias por tanto! El lugar es hermoso y es hogar de diversas especies de seres vivos (pudimos observar muchas aves, insectos, plantas), queda muy cerca de la playa, así que pudimos pasar nuestro tiempo libre allí y también descansando en la bella casa en la que pudimos quedarnos. Nuestro trabajo en redes sociales fue interesante y motivante, valoro muchísimo el aprendizaje que me permitió alcanzar sobre la cultura local y la biodiversidad de Panamá. Muy muy agradecida!!

Una experiencia muy bonita, Brett e Itzaris nos trataron como parte de su familia, pudimos compartir lindos momentos y se ocuparon siempre de que todo funcionara bien en nuestra estadía, nos permitieron usar instalaciones de lujo, casas hermosas y nos mantuvieron el refrigerador lleno todo el tiempo, el lugar es muy lindo, con acceso a la playa, y rodeado de naturaleza, el trabajo en redes sociales fue genial también, en el horario acordado y muy interesante pues nos encomendaron labores de investigación que nos acercaron a conocer la cultura local, nos vamos muy agradecidos
