There are a myriad of options to choose from when it comes to the Broome Airbnbs and holiday homes. So, start packing your suitcase – right after you’ve taken a look at some of the best accommodation in Broome.
Treehouse Broome gets its name from the shiny boab tree, which is the focal point between two dwellings linked by a shaded deck and an outdoor kitchen.
Located in Old Broome, Treehouse Broome is within walking distance of restaurants and shops in Chinatown. You can even walk to the airport, or host Trish is happy to pick you up and drop you off at the airport.
Guests can enjoy one pavilion that sleeps four across two comfy bedrooms – one upstairs with an ensuite and the other downstairs, with an outdoor bath and shower under a frangipani tree. After a busy day exploring Broome, you can sit on the deck and sip a G&T or cook up a storm in the outdoor kitchen.
Inside the walls are adorned with fabulous artwork and you’ll find plenty of interesting books to peruse. Shampoo and conditioner, beach towels, wi-fi connection and a pod coffee machine are all provided.
You’ll certainly think you’re dreaming at El Sueno, a three-bedroom Broome-style home with an indoor and outdoor bathroom, a seven-metre pool and plenty of space to relax.
On the ground level, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy living area stocked with books and board games and a washroom, while upstairs you’ll find three queen bedrooms and a balcony with a daybed and a bathroom. If you can extract yourself from this cosy property, El Sueno is a short stroll from Cable Beach.
Host Tania also has another beach house property in Broome, the four-bedroom Mar del Plata – Sea of Silver, which is also a short walk to the white sands of Cable Beach.
If you want to watch the sunset over the ocean and fall asleep in the comfort and warmth of a bed in a tent, Sol Glamping has you covered.
Just 15 minutes drive from Broome in Coconut Well, choose one of three cotton camping tents with wooden decks and private outdoor baths. There is a lovely outdoor shower and a flushing toilet that is shared between the three tents.
You won’t have access to cooking facilities or electricity, but you can light a fire and cook, or bring your own camp stove.
Host Tao also rents out the nearby Sol bnb, a two-bedroom hexagon shaped rammed earth and hardwood villa with a Bali vibe.
Bathed in light and a short walk to the beach, the six-bedroom Luxury on Cable is a dreamy escape. Be warned – you’re going to walk away with some serious kitchen envy. Not only is there an outdoor and indoor kitchen, but there’s also a third full chef’s kitchen.
With elegant timber ceilings, a soothing colour palette, crisp white cotton sheets and a Nespresso coffee machine, you will feel at home away from home. Outside there’s a stunning pool and enclosed lawn area with a cute cubby house.
If you want to be within a frisbee throw of Cable Beach, with next-level facilities and room to sleep 12 guests, then Luxury on Cable will score 10 out of 10.
Need to go big? One of the largest holiday homes available in Broome is Koolinda, which can comfortably sleep 16 guests and even your furry friends. It’s all about location with this stunning property overlooking Roebuck Bay and within walking distance to Town Beach (not a swimming beach).
Enjoy a picnic on the deck overlooking the bay, then take a dip in the impressive pool with amazing views that stretch along the entire front of the house. The home is modern and spacious, with neutral tones and quality fittings and fixtures throughout. Plus, the kids will enjoy the wooden bunk beds and a collection of toys.
The quaint Pearlers Cottage is tucked away at the end of a large, lush tropical garden, within walking distance to Matso’s Brewery, Town Beach and the airport. If you have your own wheels, there’s secure onsite parking or walk 400m to catch the town bus service.
Balinese-style with a Broome twist, this little air-conditioned gem features dark polished wooden floors, an elegant four-poster queen bed with silky sheets, a kitchenette and plenty of windows (all well screened to keep the bugs out).
Outside you’ll find a private bathroom with shower and fluffy towels, and bird-filled gardens with several spots to comfortably sit and read.
In the heart of Old Broome and within walking distance to Chinatown, this thoughtfully appointed studio room is a colourful oasis, with a yellow king bed and bright orange cushions and throw rugs.
We love the large garden with its private outdoor bathroom where you can shower under the stars and listen to the chattering of the birds in the trees. Inside, The Pearl on Walcott has a dining table for two, a kitchenette with a fridge, a pod coffee machine and microwave and a comfy leather couch.
Beyond the basics, this Airbnb has Netflix and Disney+, beach towels, snorkelling gear and some classic Kimberley literature.
Set in the leafy streets of Old Broome, this set of three villas would make an ideal stay for a band of travelling couples, friends or extended family. It’s a bit outside of the main action but having use of the property’s bicycles is an added bonus.
Red Emperor Villa 1, 2 and 3 each have an ensuite and outside there’s a small pool and large communal kitchen if you’re opting for a balmy evening cook-up.
If you want to be right in the heart of town and you won’t miss having access to a pool, this funky first-floor apartment is the way to go.
Located in Shiba Lane just minutes away from the outdoor cinema, restaurants and bars of Chinatown, this unit has two cosy bedrooms peppered with local art and two sleek bathrooms.
Queen of Shiba Lane Apartment has a modern kitchen with an island bench, a six-seater dining table and there’s a generous wrap-around deck for soaking up the sun. Free parking under the apartment.
The versatile Reflections Broome is a peaceful hideaway overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters of Roebuck Bay. It has three rooms – the downstairs Mandarin Room and Pearl Room and the upstairs Bamboo Suite – that can be booked separately, or you can hire the whole house.
Accessed by a spiral staircase (your luggage is winched up for you) the Bamboo Suite has a bamboo floor, a hand-carved Javanese teak bed, a large bathroom and a breeze-catching balcony. All you’ll have to do is climb up.
Just 25 kilometres from Broome but with a ‘world away’ feel, Coconutz B&B in Coconut Well consists of two eco tents with queen-size beds, private ensuites and outdoor tubs.
For food preparation, you have a private outdoor kitchen with all the crockery, pots and pans that you’ll need, as well as a fridge and barbecue. Too busy swinging in the hammock to cook? Coconutz B&B has a menu featuring sunset platters, woodfired pizza and barbecue packs (for self-grilling on the barbecue).
Coconut Well is close to the Roebuck Plains Roadhouse for a great feed and if you’re a bird lover, the Broome Bird Observatory is a short drive.
