We highly recommend the Korean fried chicken with sweet fermented chilli and sesame packing just the right amount of fiery chilli and crunch.<\/p>\n\n<p>More dining destination than road trip pit stop, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goonoogoonoostation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goonoo Goonoo Station<\/a> is Tamworth\u2019s most celebrated restaurant. With sweeping views over the rolling hills to the distant Liverpool Range, Glasshouse Restaurant is a spectacular spot to dine in style.<\/p>\n\n<p>For a little culture, stop by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamworthregionalgallery.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tamworth Regional Art Gallery<\/a>, which showcases gems from the permanent collection as well as touring exhibitions. Harvey\u2019s vision to create an inviting and safe space for the LGBTQI community and welcoming to all has already been a hit with locals. There is even a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepeterallenfestival.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Allen Festival<\/a> in September paying tribute to the contribution of the entertainer.<\/p>\n\n<p>A visit to Tenterfield is not complete without visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tenterfieldtourism.com.au\/business-details.php?bid=106\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tenterfield Saddler<\/a>. The original saddlery is filled with interesting memorabilia and leather goods. Staffed by volunteers, it\u2019s worth phoning ahead to confirm opening hours.<\/p>\n\n<p>Wine down at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ourplacewinebar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Our Place<\/a>, a cosy wine bar serving an impressive selection of local Granite Belt wines and local produce platters. On warmer nights, head out the back to the courtyard glowing with fire pits and filled with happy locals.<\/p>\n\n<p>Also on the main street is <a href=\"https:\/\/thecornertenterfield.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Corner Life and Style Store &amp; Cafe<\/a> a sprawling store filled with homewares, fashion, jewellery, accessories and gifts. The cosy cafe is a superb spot for breakfast, where you can enjoy your coffee fireside.<\/p>\n<h3>Where to stay?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thecommercialboutiquehotel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Commercial Hotel Tenterfield<\/a> offers eight luxurious rooms above a tastefully restored pub decked out in art deco style.
