1. De la Plage<\/h2>\n

Housed in a disused surf club storeroom, beachside cafe De la Plage<\/a> occupies a grassy expanse that overlooks Casuarina Coastal Reserve, 25 minutes north of the CBD.<\/p>\n

Run by Belgian and Australian-Turkish duo, Claire Pirau and Sevan Guzel, the cafe\u2019s menu is inspired by the ladies\u2019 respective heritages.<\/p>\n

Belgian treats include brown sugar and lime cr\u00eapes, while a decadent fig and dark chocolate baklava is among the Turkish offerings. Other favourites comprise the chia seed porridge with Greek yoghurt and fresh fruit and a refreshing watermelon salad.<\/p>\n

2. Kopi Stop<\/h2>\n

Take a mini break to southeast Asia at Kopi Stop<\/a>, which can be found in Darwin city.<\/p>\n

This breakfast nook not only serves coffee with condensed milk (Singapore kopitiam-style), it also has poached chicken and pork floss congee with salted egg, ginger, and chilli, chicken broth laksa and \u2018Singapore breakfast\u2019 with coconut jam \u2013\u00a0AKA kaya with toast and soft-boiled eggs \u2013 and much more.<\/p>\n

In Parap on a non-market day (or still peckish after perusing the market stalls)? Head to the fresh and funky Karma Cafe<\/a>.<\/p>\n
